All users in ZPortals have to be Zoho CRM contacts. When Users self register for ZPortals or when they are added manually in the Users menu, they will be added as a contact record in the CRM. The Contact ID, email and username are linked. It is best practice to keep emails unique in the CRM to prevent duplicates and issues for users upon logging in. It is also important for Zoho CRM syncs with the Finance Suite and Desk to maintain a clean relationship and prevent merging or deleting records as much as possible.
All ZPortals users are added to WordPress Client users and are visible in the WP Users tab as well as the main WordPress Users menu.
To view and manage ZPortals users, the All Users menu has tabs called "Active Users," "Inactive Users," "Unverified," "WP Users," and "Pending Users." The Active Users are any user that has created (or been given) a password and logged in to the portal. You can mass deactivate users from this menu:
Any User that is deactivated will appear in the "Inactive Users" tab and can be reactivated here:
Users in the "Unverified" or "Pending" tabs will be the users that self registered for portal access and have not yet verified their own email. See this
